You ever want a robot who doesn't care about you or your needs to do a very expensive solar installation for you, taking a 1 month install and making it into a multi year project? In that case, Tesla solar is there for you! They'll never provide a phone number so you can talk to someone, and when you do talk to someone, they'll have no knowledge of how the systems work, and be unable to resolve any of your problems. The installations always take far longer than they should, and when your roof needs modifications in order to support the solar installation, which they won't tell you about after they come out to evaluate your installation site before you purchase the contract, they won't be able to tell you exactly what needs to be changed.. they'll just give you a list of their requirements, and when you point out your roof meets all the requirements, they'll start making guesses about what you should change. Thank you Tesla for making me reroof my newly roofed house an additional 2 times. (So they could avoid buying mounting adapters)
Once it's installed, your system will only provide solar to your house if it has Internet so that Tesla can cash in on your green credits. If your Internet connection is reset, getting the solar system connected again it's a virtually impossible process with numerous chat and phone techs having given up, and the time before they'll even talk to me about additional solutions which could lead to a tech coming out to fix it being almost a month at this time.. that's 1 month after the 2 months I've spent taking to their support.. upgrading my network because they claimed that was the problem, despite the fact that it worked flawlessly for months before the cable modem was factory reset causing the disconnect.. once again, Tesla making me spend money I shouldn't have needed to.. meanwhile, I'm 2 months in to my overkill solar system doing nothing because only 1 gateway is connected to Tesla.. the other says it's connected to the Internet, but can not connect to Tesla.
The initial install tool well over a year to complete, it worked for a couple months, now it's been offline almost as long as it worked for.... For a company that makes really smart ai software, this company is really stupid at running itself from the customers perspective...

I came to the Tesla office with limited English and a number of issues that couldnโt be resolved before. Thankfully, I was helped by a specialist named Catalina, who went above and beyond to assist me. She took full ownership of the situation, was patient and understanding, and resolved every problem related to my Tesla. Thanks to her, I left with a brand new vehicle and complete peace of mind. Iโm incredibly grateful for her professionalism and kindness. Tesla is lucky to have her!
