This was our first visit to San Roque Pet Hospital and my dog was treated with the utmost care and attention. Everyone- from front desk to the tech and the doctor- were friendly and compassionate. At other hospitals my dog gets very anxious. Even after her vaccinations, she wasnโt freaked out here. The people there were so affectionate towards her she soaked up their attention.

My dog stopped eating. I was able to get a same day appointment. The staff were all very kind and empathetic. The cost for everything was explained and I was consulted and given the pricing before any tests were performed. All my questions were answered without judgement or hesitation. I was given a copy of the test results without having to ask for them.
The only thing that I would have them improve is the time it took for the appointment, 2 hours. This was my first visit and it was Dec 26th so Iโm giving them the benefit of the doubt and chalking the time it took to having a reduced number of staff because of the holiday. Iโm hoping that is the case bc I really do like this practice but if all my appointments are going to take an exceptionally long time then Iโll look elsewhere. As I am a newbie to Santa Barbara, I have nothing to compare it to for the area. Compared to where we used to live, South Redondo, pricing is higher.

The staff was instantly accessible when I called to make an appointment. Friendly and knowledgeable. I was even called back later to offer an earlier time that had opened up. The office is very attractive and comfortable. The staff was just what you want. I didnโt wait but a minute to go into my appointment The vet tech, Jessica, was very sincere and listened to my concerns. She told me what she was going to do and then take my cat back to see the veterinarian where she would be examined in a separate room. I waited a reasonable amount of time until Dr. Reid popped in. He was instantly reassuring that my cat was doing well, what he had done and examining her and what he surmised may have been the cause of her vomiting for two days that occurred two days prior to my appointment. He suggested I just pay attention to how she presents herself, and if there are increased problems or return of the first problem, I can come in and they can do a urine analysis and blood testing. He felt at this time it seemed necessary as she presented as a healthy cat.. Dr. Reid has a great sense of humor too.
The smiling woman behind the desk (I wish I remembered her name) got my bill together for me right away. She was very friendly and easy to talk with.
I felt as cared for as I had hoped my cat would feel. Lovely people. Very impressive.

I called SRPH, since my cat was having a hard time walking. I called them, and at first they didn't have an opening until Thursday and then the next day they called me, since they had a cancellation. We took our baby girl to see the vet right away. They were so professional and caring and my cat is doing better. Thanks again San Roque Per Hospital!!

My cat was sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, and gagging like something was stuck in her throat. Dr. Reed didn't want to prescribe any antibiotics for my cat without bloodwork now all my other cats are sick which could of been avoided its clearly a uri just feel they were out to get money. I will be sticking to whites they have the best medications and Dr. Mcfarlin knows her stuff.
