The team at Brighten are experienced and professional. They helped us design a system that met our current needs, as well as future-proof the system for additional demand as we replace aging appliances over time. The design process was always grounded in their considerable experience, and we never felt pressured. Brighten was sure to include options so that we could install solar within our budget.
I want to highlight their installation expertise. The installation included upgrading our service panel, and the team that did the work did a clean and professional install. More importantly, the roof on our mid-century modern home left little room for error when it came time to install the mounts for the solar panels. The Brighten Team was careful, thoughtful, and methodical, resulting in an installation that preserved the integrity of the roof, as well as being aesthetically pleasing.
In fact, our neighbor was initially concerned about how the panels would look from their second story. After the job was done, they withdrew their concerns because it looked clean, as if the panels had always been there.

Our project was quite unique and faced a very challenging schedule to be completed by the end of the calendar year. From the beginning the Brighten Solar Team embraced the unique characteristics and challenges of our project. The Team’s flexibility and willingness to try something new was greatly appreciated. Brighten's field installation team recognized the urgent time constraints we were under in order to complete our installation before the end of the calendar year. They worked efficiently, effectively and at an extremely high pace of productivity. They also worked extremely well together effectively complimenting each other’s strengthens, and always communicating in a very professional and cordial manner while working under stressful conditions. The Team's focus on our needs and desired outcomes were always front and center. I would highly recommend the Brighten Solar Team if you are considering installing a PV Solar and Battery system on your home or business.

Brighten Solar exceeded our expectations. After comparing several Santa Barbara installers, they stood out for professionalism and transparency. Peter quickly refreshed our proposal after a year’s delay and clearly explained ROI and break-even. We chose a 10 kW Silfab + Enphase system with battery storage, installed flawlessly in two days by Jeremy and Quentin’s teams. We are absolutely thrilled to have our solar system up and running. Communication throughout the entire was on on point. We knew when things were going to happen from the initial meet and great to the final inspection of the system. Everything was clearly laid out and followed through. They respected our property and made sure to clean everything up and left our yard immaculate. Even after the installation was done, they kept in touch and made sure everything was submitted properly with the electrical company and our PTO was completed. The system is super easy to understand and now we just have to wait to see what happens over the next 25 years of ownership. Because they are a local company, I have no worries about the system going down for any extended amount of time. Highly recommended if you want a professional installer, top notch customer support, and want to support a local company.

Brighten was great. After talking with 3 different Solar companies, Brighten was the only one I felt confident could get us in under NEM 2.0 with a tight deadline approaching. They were great, very professional, and I've appreciated their communication since reaching out to them about a solar install. I was assigned a project manager who kept me informed of everything that was going on. The founders of Brighten were available and responded promptly to any questions that I had. They were quick with the install, and everything seems to have been done to a high quality. Jeremy came out after the install to turn on the system with us and walk us through using it and the app. So far it's been a "set and forget it" thing! I can't wait to see what our electric bill looks like after next month.
I would describe them as highly professional, knowledgeable, frequent and prompt communication, very positive people and friendly people.
